Does Fluidity modify my Fluid field settings or content?

Nope. Since it's configuration is entirely managed in a separate config file, which is used to slightly modify the HTML of a Fluid field in the control panel, it does not touch the database (your content), or modify any of ExpressionEngine's custom fields. You can safely install and uninstall it at any time.

Can I try Fluidity before I buy it?

Yes, you can download the free trial from boldminded.com, which lasts 30 days. 30 days after installation you'll be asked to enter a valid license.
